Vet Aspire

VetAspire is an exciting program designed for students to spend the day at Mississippi State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine.   Each month, five students will have the opportunity to participate in clinics, lectures, and hands-on activities.  The goal of this program is to expose students to the field of veterinary medicine in hopes that they will choose it as a career path.  Students will also get to see the real-world impact of math, science, and communications training.

Benefits of the Program:

  • Obtain exposure to the profession of veterinary medicine
  • Gain field and clinical experience and exposure to multiple species of animals
  • Create life-long bonds with fellow students from across the state

Applications for the VetAspire Program are received year round.

Qualifications:

  • 10th -12th grade High School students and College students
  • Be educationally, economically, and/or socially disadvantaged
  • All students (10th grade and up) will be considered, but priority will be given to students who meet the above criteria

Expectations of participants:

  • Commitment to all program activities
  • Respect to self and others
